- Oversees the manufacture of products, ensuring production, performance, quality standards are consistently met, and inspection of products to ensure they meet quality standard;
- Designing and implementing manufacturing processes and procedures to improve efficiency and reduce costs;
- Responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and execution of all phases of operations in a manufacturing facility;
- Monitoring the performance of all operations within the plant to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiencies;
- Developing plans for all aspects of production including equipment utilization, staffing needs, work schedules, and material requirements;
- Prepare reports for upper management detailing departmental performance;
- Ensures a healthy and safe working environment, and compliance with regulations, through collaboration with environmental, health, and safety staff;
- Train and develop staff, providing mentorship and guidance as needed;
- Manage budgets and control costs, seeking ways to improve profitability
- Any ad-hoc task assign by higher management from time to time
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree / Post Graduate Diploma / Professional Degree in Engineering or related industries.
- At least 8 years of managerial experience in steel manufacturing environment with a proven track record
- Excellence interpersonal and negotiation skills, and adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources).
- Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise.
