Promote multiskilling within the team
Regularly review operator progress on up-skilling, arrange for people to attend training and be signed off as competent
Liaise with the Training Department to ensure that all employees including the Labour Broker Employees are on the Training Matrix Chart
Coach and guide Team members as required
Ensure start up meetings are held prior to shift change
Ensure Shift Handover is seamless 5 minutes prior to shift change
Allow clear communication between foremen for a period not less than 30 minutes to ensure all information and documentation is handed over

Report on these to the Production Manager highlighting progress, problems and recommendations

Ensure there are clear, up to date and easy to follow work instructions for all operations and that operators are able to do the operations to standardised accredited system.

Ensure manpower levels are correct as per set standard

Assist the Team if there are any problems;
Provide Information on resource Requirements
Ensure each group has the required facilities
Ensure equipment is properly maintained
Inform Maintenance of breakdowns and record lost time; liase with maintenance to prevent possible breakdowns
Implement process changes/advice from Planning Department
Co-ordinate cleaning operations
Perform all Absenteeism Counselling and conduct Return To Work Discussions on return for all unplanned absence
Review attendance trends and take appropriate action
Control overtime
Administer HR (i.e. leave, time-sheets, pay queries, transfers, upgrades and discipline)
