About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for General Operatives to join our Kerry Team in Listowel, county Kerry.
It is a full-time, permanent position. There is a 3-cycle rotating shift pattern Monday to Friday, days (6am-2pm), nights (10pm-6am), evenings (2pm-10pm) and possible overtime on the weekends. Overtime rate applies.
Our site in Listowel is the first site in the Kerry Group and has one of the largest facilities, where we process large quantities of milk to produce range of products, like Dairy Proteins, Primary Dairy Ingredients, Dairy Flavours and more. Out of 400+ people on the site, the Team you will be working in has 70 employees. The site has onsite parking and canteen. It’s closely located to N69 road and it’s 20 minutes by walk from the Listowel town centre.
As a General Operative you will be a vital part of our production team, ensuring that production process runs smoothly and is up to business standards. Any experience as Production Operative or Site Operative, or experience in food production will be advantageous.

Key responsibilities
- Working in production areas, handling production materials
- Ensuring that products meet quality standards
- Setting up and changing production areas and lines
- Maintaining work areas clean
- Collecting and reporting operations data
- Raising any production issues
Qualifications and skills
- Proficient written, numerical, and verbal skills. Fluency of English language (spoken and written)
- Food manufacturing experience (desirable)
- Ability to complete required standard work at full line speed
- Good communication skills. Can express ideas and engage with the team
- Can work well in a team
- Engages in problem solving
- Demonstrates ownership for the job and has a can-do attitude
- Learns quickly in a changing environment
