About the Position: Do you love to join children in imaginative play, whether it's building a fort or crawling through grass tunnels? Are you a hands-on and organized nanny who immerses herself in the child's world? This family may be the perfect fit for you!
This hands-on, open-minded, and curious family love to read, travel and eat great food! Mom and Dad enjoy their intellectually engaging professions which provide lots of exposure to new ideas and inspiring individuals. They're seeking a nanny who will become a second mother to their child, caring for her mind, body, and emotions while encouraging her to explore the world around her.
The ideal nanny for this family is playful, creative, and consistently plans activities and projects to foster the child's development. They ensure their little one's mind is nourished and developing. She will run, skip, read, play imagination games, take her to the park, store, kids' museum, and make all of these learning experiences.
As a little girl in a big world, these parents seek a nanny who will encourage their little one to speak up for herself and learn the value of being a good person while understanding what she wants and not being a pushover. This family values the Montessori and Regio Emilia teaching styles for how they focus on the child's interests while developing a strong sense of self, self-worth, and encouraging independence.
Their ideal nanny is organized, proactive, and always thinking ahead about the child's needs such as preparing the diaper bag for an outing or prepping snack for after nap time.
Work From Home: Mom works from home in a dedicated office space. She understands that her presence in the home may make the nanny's job harder and will work hand-in-hand with the nanny to develop age-appropriate boundaries and physical separation during work hours.
Travel: The family will begin spending summers in Connecticut in Summer 2024. They seek a nanny who is comfortable traveling with their family for 2 to 3 months (they are comfortable facilitating an on-and-off schedule such as 3 weeks on, 1 week off).
COVID-19: COVID-19 vaccination and booster are required.
