Strategy Manager - Asia [Thailand]

Across PepsiCo, we continue to build new capabilities and enter new markets that will be critical to achieving long-term, sustainable growth. The operating environment in which we do business is undergoing immense change, and it’s imperative that we transform in ways that enable us to meet the future needs of our customers and consumers. This role will play a critical part in defining the growth strategy in one of our pivotal APAC markets – Asia Bev + GMD and Indochina Foods , with 3 key pillars of responsibilities:


  • Develop insight, lead analytical works and project management support for BU GMs to develop and manage the annual strategic planning process including Strategic Deep Dive , PepsiCo Growth Model etc.
  • Quarterback the Strategic Plan via key strategic projects, partnering with a key cross-function task-force including Commercial, Finance, Supply Chain etc. Example projects include market entry, growth acceleration, channel evolution etc.
  • Drive E2E Digital Transformation within Asia Bev + GMD and Indochina Foods, working with a cross-functional team of digital resources to land the initiatives with real value impact.


The successful individual will have strong critical thinking ability, quantitative prowess, executional mindset, the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and very strong organization EQ. They will be self-starters and have a sense of ownership on the E2E outcome of projects. Last but not least, they will have a curiosity and passion for the latest digital developments and how it impacts our business.


Responsibilities:
Accountability:
  • Lead analysis and problem solving to takle a broad range of business-critical projects (e.g. new market-entry, digital roadmap, digital initiative impact evaluation and etc) during the cross-functional collaborations for various business stakeholders and Senior Executives
  • Demonstrate strong influence management skills, including the ability to challenge the status quo and align outcomes among various stakeholdres
  • Support project management efforts through disaggregating own work stream well into necessary facts and analyses while ensuring effective communication across the teams
  • Execute against time-sensitive requests from the BU GMs and cross-functional business partners
  • Drive the Digital Transformation agenda together with the Asia Strategy Lead and APAC Senior Executives
  • Build “Executive ready” project deliverables
  • Maintain an external mindset, including staying on top of consumer, competitive, and macroeconomic / geopolitical trends
Qualifications:
  • BA required, MBA is a plus
  • At least 3-5 years experience from top-notch consulting firms with proven record of academic background along with international work and / or oversea education exposure
  • Bright, self-starting, innovative thinker with great learning agility
  • Outstanding analytical capabilities as well as business acumen and good financial analysis capability
  • Prior exposure to consumer facing industries, go-to-market, digital transformation and / or agile way of working is prefered
  • Structured logical thinker with ability to define problems and frameworks, demonstrate an understanding of key value drivers
  • Able to effectively communicate (verbal and written) and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across all levels
  • Style wise, in addition to “Stay hungry” – a hard worker but not just a good talker
  • Intellectual curiosity – awareness of emerging trends and competitive activity in the sustainability space
  • Cultural sensitivity – Understand cultural and social differences in key markets and potential secondary markets with passion for understanding global differences
  • Comfort in ambiguity – Adaptability in less-structured environments (able to “jump in” and contribute even when facts are not yet 100% clear); ability to quickly figure out solutions to complex issues
  • Is persistent and resilient in the pursuit of objectives, can shift gears easily, is willing to take on new challenges and works to resolve issues
