This is us
We are looking for an Accident Research Manager to join our team within Technical Service. We have the responsibility to deliver and coordinate technical support for Volvo Bus products towards market companies and importers. The support includes when our vehicles have been involved in accidents and incidents. Technical Service is the link between the market and design departments at Volvo Global Bus Technology. We contribute to the Product Development process with our field and aftermarket expertise.

This is the role
As Accident Research Manager, you will be responsible for our support when an incident or accident involving our vehicles has happened. Remotely and/or on-site support local market personnel and customers, including investigation of vehicle to determine cause of incident.
Participate in safety community and forums within Volvo Group as well as Volvo Bus. In the role as Accident Research Manager, you participate and contribute in safety audits and design FMEA activities during development of new products.
Actively work on regular technical support, not incident related, when there is no active incident investigation.
You work independently with a large personal responsibility, supported by your team when needed.
The work is carried out both at the office in Gothenburg where you remotely work with analyzes and support systems, but occasionally visiting our customers all around the world to investigate and resolve problems is an important and rewarding part of the job.

This is you
  • You have significant experience within Automotive industry, preferably with an extensive technical knowledge of our products
  • You are comfortable meeting customers and authorities
  • A positive, structured, open minded and engaged person
  • Analytical skills to draw logical conclusions and give recommendations for action
  • Flexibility to adjust methods and actions to situations
  • You have a technical university, or equivalent, degree or extensive experience
  • A solid network within Volvo Group and knowledge of our system and processes is an advantage.
