We are looking for an R&D Director to join our NIQ Activate team in Yokne'am Illit, Israel. This is a hybrid work environment with the expectation of being in the office 3-4 days a week.

The R&D Director is a senior member of NIQ Activate’s R&D organization, with a responsibility to grow, inspire and motivate teams. You will also manage software development that incorporates cutting-edge big data technologies and real-time analytics to build high-volume solutions.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow application teams in the R&D: Front\Back-end development and QA.
- Taking part in defining the platform’s future architecture and technological roadmap.
- Grow and retain talent, and manage professional development for R&D group members.
- Drive technological innovations across all disciplines.
- Maintain close work interfaces with product and delivery teams.
- 8+ years of experience with at least 4 years of managing multiple software development R&D teams for highly scalable, Big-Data products.
- Experience with scaling a team of front-end and back-end engineers.
- Prior background as a full stack software engineer developing web applications in a production environment.
- Experience with Java, Python, Spring Boot, Microservices, SQL and NoSQL databases, JavaScript, React or other modern JavaScript frameworks, and Cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Ability to manage and prioritize missions across multiple projects.
- Comfortable with a hybrid work environment and being in the office 3-4 days a week.
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
