Come join the team at two of downtown St. John’s unique local businesses! Touton Lane and Mad Catter Cafe are currently hiring for Toutoneer/Purrista. In this role, you will work for both businesses out of the same location. Duties for these roles include:
- Preparing and serving our “stuffed toutons” (think taco, but in a touton!)
- Handling reservations and walk-in bookings for the cat lounge
- Filling touton orders for pick-up orders, walk-ins, and Skip the Dishes
- Accepting payments via cash, credit, and debit cards
- Ensuring the safety and comfort of all cats in our care, with the assistance of our team of in-lounge volunteers.
- Answering questions from customers and potential adopters
- Daily and weekly cleaning checklists
- Ensuring the consistent use and enforcement of COVID-19 sanitization and safety procedures
- Compliance with food safety regulations (training provided)
IMPORTANT: This position is intended to provide weekend relief for our current team. As such, to be considered you must be available (without restriction) for all times within the following windows (excluding standard vacation/time off requests):
- Fridays from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM
- Saturdays from 10:30 AM to 11:00 PM
- Sundays from 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM
- Availability for 1-2 weeknights from 6:00-9:00 PM preferred
- Note: You will only be scheduled for 8-12 hours per week within the above time windows.
This is an entry-level position, and training will be provided, but any experience in customer service, food service, cat care and/or with Skip the Dishes or Clover POS would be considered an asset.
