Outokumpu Tornio and Kemi operations in Finland is Outokumpu’s biggest integrated plant and it is the only fully integrated stainless steel facility in the world. In addition, Outokumpu operates ferrochrome works in Tornio and the nearby Kemi Mine, as well as the Röyttä Harbor (the Port of Tornio). A leader in innovation, Tornio is also home to one of Outokumpu’s three R&D centers.
Outokumpu IT is responsible for delivering business application and infrastructure services. Operations Solutions is in charge of all site/mill specific solutions and overall development of our manufacturing operations related IT capabilities, from manufacturing execution to asset optimization.
We are now looking for an experienced IT Service Manager for managing Operations Solutions related IT services for business area Ferrochrome. We operate our IT solutions at our plants in Tornio and Kemi Mine.
As an IT Service Manager, you will be responsible for general management, operational efficiency, and development of IT Services in your responsibility area and take care of all operational service related management activities: change management, reporting, budgeting & cost follow up and operational vendor management.
In this role, you will be based in Tornio site and Kemi Mine and will report to the Head of Operations Solutions Finland. The position does not include any direct reports.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Leading all IT operational matters (design, build, run), daily service management, operational efficiency and continuous improvement related to IT services of the own area- Ensuring IT services availability to business according to requirements
- Owning and driving IT developments (e.g. digitalization, remote operations, networks & other communication solutions) in view of Mine and Ferrochrome business specific requirements and best available technologies
- Lifecycle management of IT solutions and cyber security improvements
- Budgeting, cost follow-up and reporting of the own area
- Active cooperation with business and internal IT teams as well as with IT Service providers
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in applicable field of technology or equivalent qualifications- 5+ years of relevant working experience, preferably in IT Service Management
- Experience of Production processes and skills to transfer business demands to IT system requirements
- Ability to understand the “big picture”, prioritize and focus on essentials to execute
- Ability to build trusted relationships with business teams and other counterparts
- Analytical approach, ability to work independently and commitment to continuous improvement
- Good interpersonal skills
- Experience of mining industry and underground mining operations will be benefit
- Fluent in English (both verbal & written), knowledge of Finnish language would be a big plus
