We are currently looking for a Material Manager / Material Supervisor for our client's project in Odda, Norway. Start of the project is as soon as possible.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Supervise warehouse operations and storage material uploading.
- Ensure smooth and uninterrupted storage material deliveries according to schedule.
- Issue and distribute material receiving reports, indicating acceptance, damages, wrong and incomplete deliveries.
- Preparation of material handling procedures in cooperation with QA/QC and Construction
- Manager/Site Manager.
- Information to QA/QC about schedule of arriving material and preparation of package opening and inspection.
- Participation at open package inspection and record of material.
- instructions.
- Execution of maintenance and storage procedures provided by vendors (e.g. rotating
- equipment, nitrogen filled equipment).
- Cooperate with the Supervisors and Progress Controlling regarding availability of material.
- Inform the Site Manager in case of material damages, lost or wrong delivered parts.
- Evaluation of the storage instruction provided along with the delivery and storing the items accordingly.
- Initiation maintenance of warehouse equipment.
- Instruct all warehouse personnel and visitors regarding the applicable HSE regulations.
Requirements:
- Suitable educational background
- Experience in working on the field as a Warehouse or Material Supervisor
- Experience within complex construction projects
- Ability to organize and prioritize day-to-day activities
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Fluent English language skills are required
