Do you want to be part of an agile team that use digitalisation to offer new products and services within energy markets?
For our high-performance energy management analytics platform, we seek our new IT Product Manager. This analytics platform combines the processes of hydrology and market analysis to form price and production forecast. This is then further utilised in trading activities as well as short term optimisation and dispatch for energy production. The analytics platform eco-system contains open-source models, proprietary algorithmics, and inhouse developed products which all is python script enabled. Currently 6 teams are working on the platform.
Your mission is to take a leading role in the development of this specific analytics platform for Energy management and to optimize delivery value chain and team performance for this specific IT product/platform. Planning, coordinating, and optimizing all the IT deliveries is included in the product service offering.
As an IT Product Manager within Energy Management, your main responsibilities are:
- Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to align the products roadmap and the vision for the platform
- Have end-to-end responsibility for all IT related deliveries on the platform
- Iterate on a scaled agile setup consisting of product owners, developers, scrum masters, scripters, project managers, citizen developers, etc
- Manage budget, costs, resources, and capacity planning
- Ensure performance, security, and a fit for purpose architecture
- Manage the backlog of robustification and uniformization of the platform, delivered on by a platform team.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with deep interest, motivation, and experience in leading business critical IT and digitalisation activities. We believe that includes:
- Relevant work experience from the energy sector or similar roles in different sectors and competence about Energy Management processes and systems.
- Comfortable with leading a team of developers and coordinating work in a virtual cross-functional team setup
- Strong communication skills and talent for building network and trusted relationships is a necessity
- Proven experience from product ownership/product management in a scaling agile context utilizing e.g., SAFe or LeSS
- Basic IT architecture competence and understanding relevant for a platform
- Experience and competence from managing IT development like project management, test management, change management, etc.
- Continuous improvement mindset and experience from improving and optimizing deliveries related to a product
- Strong process driver with mindset to plan and structure work to ensure high quality solutions
- You have higher education at university level or equivalent, and you are fluent in English, both written and spoken. German or one of the Scandinavian languages are an advantage.
