LM Wind Power are looking for a Senior Manager to lead our Asia Region Indirect Sourcing Supplier Performance, Cost out and cash improvement Initiatives.

The role is responsible for indirect sourcing in the region and leadership of a team consisting of currently 4 colleagues in various locations.

The role will negotiate with dedicated providers according to specific policies. Achieve the best contractual conditions while also ensuring internal customer satisfaction. Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Indirect material & services management:
  • Ensure the existence and deployment on time of an updated cost reduction action plan for indirect materials to achieve the financial objectives of the perimeter in charge
  • Deploy the indirect material strategy in the region
  • Define opportunities for cost reduction with suppliers, plants and global teams
  • Negotiation with local suppliers
  • Propose and contribute to supplier reduction / optimization
  • Define and ensure deployment of best practices

  • Manage working capital for perimeter in charge:
  • Deploy working capital improvement / logistics strategy for perimeter in charge
  • Define opportunities for working capital improvement / logistics with suppliers, plants and global teams
  • Define and ensure deployment of best practices
  • Setup and Manage Regional Commodity teams for deployment Of Regional cost-out projects.
  • Deployment of best practices related to Sourcing&Logistics Cost-out programs across the regions.
  • Ontime availability of materials and no downtime
  • Share monthly with plant controllers the cost reduction plan to build an accurate purchasing forecast.
  • Keep speed trackers updated
  • Management and feeding in local IT systems
  • Build the monthly reporting & validate serial purchasing information sent to the Group
  • Report activities according to group rules
  • Involve plant managers & functions to review regularly the cost reduction action plan and ensure deployment on time of cost reduction activities.
  • Regular feedback to commodity managers about supplier performance
  • Define supplier strategy including management and optimization of supplier panels. Lead negotiations and allocate needs to specific suppliers. Negotiate terms and conditions and transmit information to Procurement. Manage claims. Includes commercial sourcing management such as data analysis, negotiations support, etc. This may also include purchasing activities.
  • Skilled influencer, able to communicate complex messages to others. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.
  • Impacts approaches, projects and programs in the functional area or affected business organization and ways of working. Impacts quality, efficiency and effectiveness of own team. These jobs have significant input into their priorities. Jobs at this level tend to be covered by professional practices and policies but these are shaped by the role. Working within broad guidelines and policies, roles at this level have moderate autonomy, requiring high levels of evaluative judgment.
  • Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems that impact the function. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Min 10 years managing Sourcing & Supply Chain in strategic positions

  • Min 5 years managing teams

  • Proved operational performance achievements

  • Six-Sigma certification preferred

  • English.

  • Cross-functional team management
