Job Responsibilities:
Technology Strategy: Develop and execute the organization's overall technology strategy, ensuring it aligns with business objectives and drives innovation.
Technology Roadmap: Define and communicate the long-term technology roadmap, identifying emerging technologies and trends that can benefit the organization.
Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing technology team, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management.
Collaboration: Collaborate with other C-suite executives, stakeholders, and business units to understand their technology needs and develop solutions that enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
Budgeting and Resource Allocation: Manage the technology budget, allocate resources effectively, and make strategic investment decisions to maximize ROI.
Security and Compliance: Ensure the organization's technology infrastructure, systems, and data are secure and compliant with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Vendor Management: Evaluate and select technology vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage ongoing vendor relationships.
Technology Innovation: Stay updated with the latest technology trends, evaluate their potential impact on the organization, and identify opportunities for innovation.
Risk Management: Assess and mitigate technology-related risks, such as cybersecurity threats, data breaches, and system failures.
Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
Qualifications:
Education: Typically, a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees or certifications can be beneficial.
Experience: Extensive experience in technology leadership roles, including several years in a senior management position, is essential. Prior experience in strategic planning, technology implementation, and team management is highly valued.
Technical Expertise: A deep understanding of various technologies and their applications, such as cloud computing, artificial intelligence, data analytics, cybersecurity, and software development. Knowledge of industry-specific technologies is often important.
Business Acumen: Strong business acumen and the ability to align technology initiatives with organizational goals. Understanding the industry, market dynamics, and competition is crucial.
