Chevy Chase Club is seeking a full-time professional to serve as the Director of Platform Tennis at the Club.
The primary function of this position is to personally administer all Adult and Junior Platform Tennis Instructional programs, tournaments and events, gain an intimate knowledge of every adult and junior player and their ability level, and to work with the Director of Racquets to create new venues for Platform Tennis growth and participation. The Director of Platform Tennis also serves as the platform tennis liaison to the membership.
Other responsibilities include but are not limited to tennis, platform tennis, pickleball instruction, racquet stringing, and assisting with all racquet events. This is a wonderful opportunity to not only lead an established platform tennis program but also gain knowledge of all aspects of racquet sports programming to help further your career.
Desired Candidate Qualifications
? A minimum of 5 years of progressive growth and experience in (preferably) a private country club with multi-dimensional operations
? Exemplary communication (both written and spoken), interpersonal skills and ability to work cooperatively with all staff
? Passion for teaching and constant learning
? Enthusiasm and high energy both on and off the court
? Excellent organizational, technological and time management skills and a 5.0 playing competency in tennis and a PTI of 10 or lower in platform tennis
? Champion of new ideas and initiatives to consistently improve the member experience while respecting Chevy Chase Club traditions
