About the Group
The Commission’s Workforce Insights Group provides the evidence base to inform APS workforce policies, strategies and practices. The Group provides the trusted and transparent foundations of data collection and reporting, as well as the applied research, analysis and evaluation. This enables agencies and the Government to strategically shape and evolve the public service to meet the changing needs of the community.
Our Group also provides evaluation services for the Commission’s priorities such as the APS Disability Employment Strategy, the Capability Review Program, and the APS Graduate Development Program.
About the Role
This role is an exciting opportunity to undertake research on topical APS workforce issues, as well as support important evaluation activities for key Commission priorities.
The Assistant Director will:
- Identify appropriate research techniques to collect and analyse information, such as surveys, focus groups and/or semi-structured interviews.
- Contribute to evaluation design and implementation by analysing a range of information to derive insights.
- Communicate a narrative clearly and concisely, tailoring for a range of stakeholders, including ministerial staff and senior executives.
